  3. Today we are starting the Supertest for the Object 752, a Tier IX Soviet heavy. An oscillating turret and a gun with an autoloader (a quite uncommon combination for a Soviet) are the signature features of this vehicle. The autoloader is a fast one: three shells, 2.75 seconds between shots, and 21.8 seconds for a complete reload. As for the other stats, the gun dispersion is 0.4 m per 100 m, and the aiming time amounts to 3 seconds. The basic AP round can penetrate 256 mm of armor, and the special APCR can pierce 318 mm. The gun’s one-time damage is 440 points, and the vehicle’s view range is 380 m. The protection of the Object 752 is adequate for a heavy: up to 330 mm of armor at the front of the turret and up to 180 mm at the front of the hull. Yet keep in mind that there’s a weakly armored oscillating part behind the turret’s frontal plate, so you better engage your enemies at mid-range. Keeping the distance between your opponents and yourself is not a problem with a power-to-weight ratio of 17.4 hp per tonne and a top speed of 50 km/h. A gun depression of -8 degrees lets you use terrain folds to your advantage. The Object 752 combines the aggressiveness of the Soviets with the cautiousness of the French. The dynamics allows it to take advantageous positions first, and its firepower lets it dish out lots of damage over a short period of time. Still the tank’s operator should think beforehand of a place to wait out the reload time (while covering the weakly armored parts). The key to efficient play on this tank is reacting quickly to changes in the tactical environment, while making use of the vehicle’s strong sides. View the full article

  11. You have surely heard of monday’s article about double-barreled vehicles we plan on adding to World of Tanks soon? You’ve heard it right: today, we’re testing a dummy tank with two guns. We are especially interested in the gameplay concept, not so much in the dummy vehicle itself. None of this vehicle’s characteristics should be taken seriously. It will give all of you (and us) an insight into what a double-barreled tank could look and play like in World of Tanks. So, let’s break the ice and take a look at the first-ever vehicle with two guns as well as its stats. View the full article

  20. In Update 1.6 we’ll simplify the conditions of about 40 missions from the third operation of the second campaign, which rewards you with the Object 279 early. Reworking the missions of this operation will lead the second campaign to a state that we consider final and well-balanced in terms of complexity. In the upcoming Update, we’ll conclude the consistent process of rebalancing Personal Missions, which we started about a year ago. Based on our stats and your feedback, we’ve changed the conditions of over 100 missions, making both campaigns more achievable. And now we can finally say that the rebalancing of personal missions is complete. Get ready to play, farm, and get your well-deserved rewards faster! Simple But Challenging In Update 1.6, Second Front missions of the third campaign will become simpler overall, with more flexibility in how you complete them. They will still require a certain skill level to complete, but they are no longer as complex as before. We tried to keep Personal Missions engaging, while making them less time-consuming to finish. In addition, we decided to rework certain missions to make them fit better with current gameplay. For example, we changed the conditions of the “Coalition” missions for French vehicles, in which it was necessary to block a certain amount of damage, despite the lack of heavily-armored machines in this nation. Finally, we’re also changing the conditions of missions for artillery. We’re making these missions more relevant wherever required, and reducing the stun conditions in accordance with the new SPG stun mechanics. Just check the reworked conditions out: The Second Front missions OBJECT 279E BEFORE UPDATE 1.6 Union-1. 21. There’s a new edition of the Update 1.6‘s Common Test coming up. Starting today, 25 July, you can jump into it to discover our latest changes, as well as one massive introduction: a new map for the upcoming episodes of Frontline. Be the First to Try A New Frontline Map A new map for the Frontline mode, dubbed “Kraftwerk”, has just entered open testing. The rules are familiar to you: there are six zones (bases) to defend or capture, and five large guns (the main targets) for the attackers to destroy. The new map is set in the suburbs of a post-WWII Central European city during winter. Here, you can battle it out in open patches with complex terrain, small towns, ruins of old castles, military bunkers, and more. The Loadscreen Soundtrack intro and Battle Theme https://ritastatusreport.live/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Andrius_Klimka_-_Kraftwerk_intro.mp3https://ritastatusreport.live/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Andrey_Kulik_feat._Andrius_Klimka_-_Kraftwerk_battle.mp3Screenshots and Minimap The map’s centerpiece is a “kraftwerk”, the German term for “power station”, with imposing cooling towers. The first line of defense is chiefly made up of city blocks complemented by wide-open passages and approaches. Here, close-to-mid-range fighting will predominantly take place. The second defense line includes spacious open grounds, featuring dramatic terrain changes at the flanks that favor bold and swift moves to take tactically advantageous positions. The power station in the middle of the map is one of the most densely built-up parts of the locale. The last defense line where the crucial targets are located consists of a mixed landscape with varied terrain shapes. Here you’ll face military bunkers that constitute one of the map’s unique traits. And, fancy that, so large they are, you can enter them to fight right inside. The balance and looks mentioned aren’t set in stone yet as the map is still in the works. If we’re happy with the test results, Kraftwerk will supplement the World of Tanks maps gallery in September’s episode of Frontline. Reminders HOW THE CT WORKS New to testing? Check out our handy guide to public tests. Eligibility: cut-off was done on July 6, so all players registered prior to 22:59 CEST (UTC+2) on July 5 can participate in test. Feedback: Please post your general feedback about the test version and bug reports in the special thread on our forum. Before the start of Episode 5, we announced a reduction of the cooldown on respawn to 10 seconds, instead of 30. Spend more time in the game, play, and grab your well-deserved rewards! The AE Phase I: The Crown Jewel of Your Tank Collection! Speaking of rewards. Finally, we can announce the name, nation and class of the most valuable Frontline 2019 reward! The most persistent and skillful players will be able to receive as a reward the AE Phase I, a Tier IX American heavy tank. Looking at this formidable brawler, you’ll immediately notice its distinguishing feature: the segmented tracks. This tank has four caterpillars, with two on each side. The AE Phase I comes with two main features. The first is that it’s an event vehicle, freeing you from the necessity of retraining an experienced Crew to assign to this tank. The second is a new mechanic: a built-in Large Repair Kit consumable, which will occupy one of the slots on the Equipment Panel of your vehicle (no additional slots are provided). In battle, it works just like a regular one but once the fight is over and you’re in the Garage, you don’t have to purchase a new one as the built-in Large Repair Kit replenishes automatically. The Emil 1951: the first-ever Swedish Tier VIII Premium Heavy Vehicle While you’re chasing down the incredible AE Phase I, don’t forget about the other outstanding reward vehicle, the Emil 1951. This is the first-ever Swedish Tier VIII Premium heavy tank with an autoloader, boasting decent frontal armor and good alpha damage with both basic and special rounds. Its top speed is nothing special, but it keeps up well and accelerates fast for a heavy tank. It’s good enough to close in on an enemy and show them who’s boss! Don’t have a Tier VIII vehicle? Rent one! In the upcoming episode of Frontline, rental vehicles from Episode 1 are coming back! You’ll be able to get your hands on The T-44 FL The Pz. 58 FL The T34 FL The Gold spent on the rent accumulates in a special fund.
