This Challenge is truly special and will let you experience taming a quick and agile scout. We know it’s not going to be easy, but by the end of this event, you’re going to get an outstanding vehicle, which you’ll show off with pride… and spark envy in other Commanders! The concept will be familiar to those of you who took part in last year’s Winter and British Challenges. Its maximum speed is 80 km/h, both forward and in reverse – exactly what you need for active spotting and scouting. Learn to utilize its high speeds, and you’ll succeed on the battlefield. The Panhard EBR 75 stands out not only for its speed. It demonstrates high combat effectiveness thanks to the 75 mm auto-loading gun with a two-round clip, dealing an average of 175 damage per shot. The gun is mounted on an oscillating turret. This combination will allow you to quickly reach the firing line, fire 2 shots on the move and then instantly leave your location. Plus, high armor penetration with HE shells will allow you to cause more damage to lightly armored adversaries. And don’t forget about their unique mechanics, exclusive to these vehicles – the lock-on feature and two driving modes. They will help you survive even the fiercest battles and successfully confront other vehicle classes. How It Works Just like the British Challenge, the chase for the Panhard EBR 75 will last 14 days, from 21 February at 10.00 to 6 March at 10.00, and involves completing 10 consecutive stages.   8. PS: The recent lack of news was caused by the Russian New Year. I also have a funeral to attend tomorrow and exams in the following 3 weeks, therefore I cannot focus as much on the blog. After the tests, it was decided to introduce changes and corrections to the first French premium wheeled vehicle at tier VIII . These changes will be already introduced in the public test of update 1.4 and it is possible that they will be subject to further changes. Changes in brief: Engine power increased by 5%. Increased braking efficiency. Change to driving mode shortened from 0.2 to 0.1s. Reduced debuff caused by wheel damage. Increased maneuverability in travel mode at low speeds. Magazine reload time reduced from 10.3 to 9.5s. Exact changes: Dynamics: Engine power changed from 500 to 525HP (+ 5%). The braking efficiency and – to some extent – the acceleration efficiency (as a side effect) have been improved. Change to driving mode shortened from 0.2 to 0.1s. Players complained that the vehicle lacked dynamics in specific cases. At the same time, however, some emphasized the large inertia of the vehicle (brakes too weak). Increasing the power of the engine has a rather cosmetic effect, while the braking force has been improved noticeably. The time needed to change between driving modes has been shortened, which allows you to lose less speed when changing the mode during movement. Wheel damage: Debuff (increased resistance, decreased speed) from the damaged wheel has been reduced. The level at which the wheels are repaired automatically has been set to 100%. The speed of automatic wheel repair has been reduced. Players complained about a drastic decrease in vehicle dynamics even when only two wheels were damaged. In fact, damage to one or two wheels did not have much impact during fast driving. Meanwhile, acceleration even with one damaged wheel was too slow. Debuff reduction from single wheel damage has an almost imperceptible effect at high speeds, while it effectively improves acceleration when one or two wheels are damaged. Setting automatic wheel repair to some extent reduces the chance of damage to the wheel, thereby increasing the severity of damage to each of the vehicle’s wheels. Maneuverability: Steering speed of the wheels increased. The maximum angle of tilting of the wheels when the forward drive key is not pressed is increased. The degree of throttle opening during turning at low speeds (using the A and D keys, without W-red.) Increased. The maximum speed for which the above effect happens is set to 20km / h. The vehicle required better maneuverability at low speeds in the travel mode. At speeds greater than 20km / h, the base maneuverability remained almost unchanged except by increased responsiveness to turns (due to accelerated wheel rotation) and the possibility of tighter turning after releasing the forward key. Maneuverability in the fast mode remained unchanged. Thus, we achieved greater separation between driving modes. Battle performance: Magazine reload time reduced from 10.3 to 9.5s (-8%) Adding the third round to the magazine, as asked by many players, seemed inappropriate. The current configuration of the magazine encourages players to play all-in, firing both rounds at once and retreating to a safe position for reloading. Therefore, the efficiency of the magazine has been slightly improved by reducing the reload time. Increasing the view range also seemed illogical, because the combat potential of this vehicle is rather big at the moment, because it combines in a cheerful way the characteristics that help in achieving an active gameplay. Other: The engine parameters have been adjusted (not perceptible to players). The suspension stiffness parameters have been increased (this will reduce the damage from falls when the vehicle lands on the wheels).   9. Good day everyone, Some changes made to the Panhard EBR F-10 after the recent semi-public test phase: Brief changelog: Engine power increased by 5%. Braking effectiveness improved. Switch time between driving modes reduced from 0.2 to 0.1 s. Debuff from wheel damage reduced. Maneuverability in the Cruise mode at slow speed improved. Magazine reload time reduced from 10.3 s to 9.5 s. Detailed changelog: Dynamics Changed the engine power from 500 h.p. to 525 h.p. (+5%). Braking effectiveness and, to some extent, acceleration effectiveness (as a side-effect) were improved. Switch time between driving modes reduced from 0.2 to 0.1 s. Players complained that the vehicle lacked dynamics in certain cases. At the same time, many of them also mentioned high momentum of the vehicle (insufficient effectiveness of braking). The increase in engine power has a rather cosmetic effect, while the braking effectiveness was improved considerably. Reduced time of switching between the modes enables the vehicle to drive without losing that much speed when changing the mode. Wheel Damage Debuff (increased terrain resistance) from a damaged wheel was reduced. The level, to which wheel durability is restored automatically, was fixed at 100%. The speed of automatic restoration of wheel durability was reduced. Players complained about a drastic drop in vehicle dynamics even if only one or two of its wheels were damaged. As a matter of fact, damage to one or two wheels was negligible for high-speed driving. At the same time, acceleration with even a single wheel damaged dropped too much. The reduction of the debuff from damage to a single wheel had a barely noticeable effect on vehicle behavior at high speed, while granting a considerable boost to acceleration with one or two damaged wheels. The setting of automatic restoration of wheel durability reduces the probability of a damaged wheel to a certain extent, at the same time increasing the gameplay value of damaging each separate wheel. Maneuverability Wheel turning speed increased. Maximum angle of turning the wheels when the Forward key is released was increased. Throttle level when turning at low speed was increased (when the Forward key is released). Maximum speed, up to which the turning throttle is effective, was set at 20 km/h. The vehicle needed better maneuverability at low speed in the Cruise mode. At a speed higher than 20 km/h in the Cruise mode, the base maneuverability remained approximately the same, except for the improved responsiveness of the vehicles when turning (because of the increased wheel turning speed) and the possibility to turn the wheels at a greater angle when the Forward key is released. Maneuverability in the Rapid mode mostly remained unchanged. At the same time, we have achieved a more meaningful separation of the drive modes than before. Battle Performance Magazine reload time reduced from 10.3 s to 9.5 s (-8%). Adding an extra round to the magazine, as many players had asked us, was deemed inappropriate. The current magazine configuration encourages the player to play all-in, shooting all they can at a time and retreating to safety for a reload. Instead, the effectiveness of the current magazine was slightly improved via a reduction in its reload time. Increasing the view range was also considered unreasonable, because the potential battle performance of the vehicle is rather high as it is, and it demonstrates a happy blend of characteristics for an active gameplay. Other: Parameters of engine damage when Boosting were slightly adjusted (to bring it in line with the general system; no meaningful changes to the player). Parameters of suspension stiffness were increased (to reduce the falling damage when the vehicle lands on its wheels). The Hotchkiss EBR is a ‘transitional’ vehicle introducing the players to the peculiar gameplay of top-tier wheeled armoured cars. It lacks the two driving modes like them, but it does have the Charge ability and the special lock-on feature. It also has an auto-reloading 75-mm gun. The dynamics and manoeuvrability of the Hotchkiss EBR are lower than those of the tier VIII–X vehicles. Additionally, the absence of the Drive (fast) results in a lesser top speed.   16. The Supertest of the entire French wheeled line is stating with the tier X Panhard EBR 105 after the concept was trialed earlier with the Tier VIII armored car. The official spiel. What kind of vehicle is that? Eight wheels, two driving modes, ‘magnet’ lock-on, the charge mechanic, and other distinct features are in place (and enhanced). The vehicle is extremely vulnerable for enemy fire, with a small HP pool and almost non-existent armor, so rely on its mobility and small size to survive. It counts as a light tank but the spotting distance is much shorter than those of tracked ones. The firepower is enough to finish off a damaged enemy at the end of a battle but not for an even-sided one-on-one engagement. The Panhard’s ace in the sleeve is its mobility. A 105-mm cannon has outstanding stabilization allowing to fire on the move but its reloading speed is to underline that damage dealing isn’t armored cars’ main specialty. So, the Panhard EBR 105 has all the strong and weak sides of wheeled vehicles pronounced and gathered together. We only have to fine-tune. How will it play? At the start of a battle, as an extremely active spotter. At the middle, as a very agile reconnaissance vehicle with limited firepower. At a battle’s end, as a rapid and dangerous predator. ‘Speed and aggression’ is a wheeled vehicle’s creed. The Panhard will be relatively tough to handle and will suit experienced and confident tankers. Depending on test results, we may change the stats for the Panhard EBR 105. The basic mechanics were checked earlier with the Tier VIII armored car, and now we get to fine-tune the entire line, starting from the top. The first in queue is the Panhard EBR 105, the Tier X crown of the branch, expressing the unique features of wheeled vehicles the most. What kind of vehicle is that? Eight wheels, two driving modes, ‘magnet’ lock-on, the charge mechanic, and other distinct features are in place (and enhanced). The vehicle is extremely vulnerable for enemy fire, with a small HP pool and almost non-existent armor, so rely on its mobility and small size to survive. It counts as a light tank but the spotting distance is much shorter than those of tracked ones. The firepower is enough to finish off a damaged enemy at the end of a battle but not for an even-sided one-on-one engagement. The Panhard’s ace in the sleeve is its mobility. A 105-mm cannon has outstanding stabilization allowing to fire on the move but its reloading speed is to underline that damage dealing isn’t armored cars’ main specialty. How will it play? How will it play? At the start of a battle, as an extremely active spotter. At the middle, as a very agile reconnaissance vehicle with limited firepower. At a battle’s end, as a rapid and dangerous predator. ‘Speed and aggression’ is a wheeled vehicle’s creed. The Panhard will be relatively tough to handle and will suit experienced and confident tankers. Depending on test results, we may change the stats for the Panhard EBR 105.
